What to Expect
Most Clients will enter via an online consultation.
That consultation requires paperwork ahead of time that takes anywhere from 90 minutes to 2 hours.
This paperwork allows us to avoid unnecessary testing that can cost anywhere from $1200-$5000
The Consultation is 90 minutes of time
IF YOU DO NOT ENTER VIA CONSULTATION
Dr. Marci will meet with you for an initial Evaluation for 110 minutes to learn about your past medical history, lifestyle, genetic predispositions, current symptoms and more to understand the multifactorial components contributing to your health status.
This too requires paperwork to be completed in advance
This appointment is at a fee to the client.
The next steps may include recommendations of diet, exercise and supplements based on your specific needs. Additional laboratory tests, exercise tests or evaluative procedures may be necessary. At the end of the consultation, Dr. Marci will evaluate the data to determine the best way to move forward.
Patient education is of utmost importance in understanding one’s own condition and empowering each patient to become an active participant in their wellness endeavors. Dr. Marci will give you the tools necessary to apply the Functional Medicine model to your life so you won’t have to wait years for medical practice to catch up with the application of sound scientific evidence used in our clinical practice today.
Will this be covered by my insurance?
Functional Medicine and individualized consultation regarding diet and supplementation fall under the realm of Wellness Coaching. Despite the ever-increasing importance of these fields, both Wellness Coaching Functional Medicine are not covered by insurance.
